July 14, 2021
With the first half of 2021 behind us, we are struck by how grateful we are to be here, co-creating with people and organizations we admire. So many things are not guaranteed — 2020 really showed us that, didn’t it? — so we’d like to celebrate the things that are making us smile, right now. Thanks for joining us!

Our Team Continues to Grow
This quarter we welcomed two new members to the Rethink Creative staff!
Lauren Bowen joined as our lead copywriter and messaging strategist this past May, after serving Rethink Creative for years as a remote contractor. She brings with her empathy and understanding for the unique needs of mission-driven organizations and leads with a compelling balance of data and intuition. We are excited to have her on board!
Larryon Truman II joined us in June and is the newest member to the Rethink team, stepping into the role of videographer. Raised in Latin America as a missionary kid and having worked as creative arts director for a local church, Larryon is no stranger to serving the mission-minded. He brings with him a passion for seeing ministry, creativity, and storytelling intersect, making him a great fit for our team and culture!
Our office is more active than ever this summer, as we gladly welcome Sadie Coords as our digital marketing intern. Pursuing her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Rutgers University, Sadie is using her skills in organization, artistic creativity, and social media research to work alongside our team. We are thrilled to have her with us this summer!
In June, four members of the Rethink Creative team spent four days in Orlando, Florida as a sponsor of the Christian Leadership Association’s Outcomes Conference. As our first live event sponsorship in over 18 months, this was a welcome opportunity for the team to connect with mission-minded business owners and ministry leaders. There, we had the privilege of launching our “Lead With Inspiration” campaign, where we gave away custom, hand-lettered journals inspired by scripture.
Open Eyes Brand & Website Launch
In the past six months, our team was given the privilege of partnering with Open Eyes to overhaul their brand voice and visual identity, from top to bottom. This effort included brand strategy workshops (completed by renaming the organization), logo and identity design, core messaging work, a website overhaul, and more! In June, we had the honor of being visiting our friends in ministry in Charlotte, North Carolina to officially re-launch the brand together. (Stay tuned for a full case study!) In the meantime, learn more about Open Eyes on their new website.
ACLD Website Launch
As a trusted creative partner of the Christian & Missionary Alliance, we were able to partner with Dr. Steve Grusendorf and the Alliance Center for Leadership Development to totally revamp their new website. Having just rebranded as ACLD, the new site needed to clearly communicate who ACLD is, point existing students to key calls to action, and provide clarity and inspiration to their growing network of students.
Evangel Church Logo
In April, after months of concepting and strategizing, we were excited to roll out the beginnings of the Evangel Church rebrand with a new brand identity for the ministry. The new logo embodies Evangel’s mission of reaching across the street and around the world, a work that starts and ends with the message of the cross. Shown here is the new identity for the church; stay tuned for the new website launching soon!
Two New Case Studies
In the second quarter, we also published two new case studies which showcase some of our most recent work:
